Day 16 of 20 Days to Tech Tastic - Photo Display

So now that you've got all of these great photos taken by you and your students where are you putting them all?

It's great to post one or two photos at once while you're out and about but what if you want to review a whole trip or a photo of every student's artwork?

Your challenge today is to display photos on your blog in a way that you haven't tried before.

Here are a few ideas I've used ...

Videos
Use a simple movie making program like iMovie or Movie Maker to put all your photos together in one movie.  Add the movie to your blog post and ta da! you've got all your photos in one place.

PicCollage
This great little app is really easy for students and teachers to use and can display lots of photos in one great 'PicCollage'.  Here's a tutorial of how to use it on the iPad

Slideshow in Blogger blogs
Why not look at adding a slideshow to the bottom or top or even side bar of your blog with all your students in it.  You could even make your own characters and have these in your slideshow.  It could change monthly, daily, weekly.  Lots of possibilities.  Slideshow is a gadget that you can add to your blog by going to the layout area under settings and clicking 'add gadget' in the location you'd like to place your slideshow.  You then select the slideshow gadget and follow the instructions.   Slideshow uses web based albums, great if you have photos stored on Picasa, flickr, photobucket and any other web album with an RSS feed.

Photobucket, Picasa, Flickr
These are all great places to store your photos online and you can link to their versions of a slideshow or link them to a blogger slideshow if you want to.

Animoto
Great for creating quick 30 second videos with a few photos.  You can pay for an account that will increase the length and design options for your videos.

Vimeo
An alternative to uploading your video to youtube, free account includes adds, plus/premium account isn't too expensive and removes ads and gives you lots of storage space.
