Day 13 of 20 Days to BlogTastic - A week in the life of...

Celebrating every learning success is a daunting prospect when you think about how many blog posts that would involve... however when you release your control of your class blog back to your students (yes even New Entrant students can make their own blog posts with the right tools), it's not such a big task.

Today's challenge - Day 13 out of 20, is about reviewing and reflecting on your learning each week with your students.

If you'd like to know more about the 20 Days to BlogTastic training please click here.

A really easy way to start this off is to create a Google Slide deck with a slide for each day and a title something like ' A week in the life of The Brilliant Bats - Room 55).

Here's a template you can use with a few different options...

How To Use The Template
This really depends on your class situation...
You might choose one or two students who are responsible for documenting learning this week and they create and complete the google slide post for the week.

You might get an older student to come in and work with your younger students in the morning to create the post and publish it at the end of the week.

You might share the slide deck with your whole class and each one of them adds a slide about their learning for the week.

You might not use a template at all and just have one student each day that posts their favourite learning photo of the day and tags it with the term and week it is.  So at the end of the week you can click on the label for that week and see all the favourite photos posts.

These are just a few ideas, if you have other great ideas that you've used please share them in the comments section of this post.

How to Add A Google Slide Deck to your Blog Post
If you've forgotten how to add a Google Slide deck to a blog post refer back to the instructions and videos in Day 6's challenge - adding photos to a Google Slide Deck and posting it to your blog

Your challenge today is to create a reflection of this weeks learning and post it to your blog - so this challenge won't be completed until Friday.

Remember your students only need one thing to celebrate/reflect on from each day - try and make it something you haven't already posted about on your blog a question or statement they have to answer or have an opinion about works well.  Keep It Simple (KIS!) don't worry too much about making it look amazing just get it up and posted, you can keep improving on this as the weeks go by.
